About Our Services
I create custom t-shirt quilts, memory quilts, memory bears, and memory pillows, all handmade in Atlanta, GA. I also offer professional longarm quilting for quilt tops you bring in.

Quilts by Big Wes is located inside CreateATL at 900 Murphy Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 and is open during business hours. Consultations, drop-off, and pickup are by appointment during business hours so I'm on site to receive your garments. Garments can also be shipped to the studio from anywhere in the United States.
Every garment is accounted for. Any pieces that aren't used in the final design will be returned to you along with the finished quilt. Let me know at the time of your order if you want all unused fabric scraps returned as well.
Gallery Style uses uniform block sizes for a clean, symmetrical grid. Collage Style uses varied block sizes that match the scale of each graphic for a more dynamic layout. Both styles are available for all quilt sizes at the same price.
Cost, Time, and Payment
I typically complete custom quilts in four to eight weeks depending on size, complexity, and current workload. An estimated completion date is confirmed at the start of each project.
My custom quilt prices start at $275 for a Lap size. Final cost depends on size, number of garments, and design complexity. Full pricing is available at https://www.bigwes.com/pricing/
I offer five custom quilt sizes: Lap (approximately 48 by 48 inches), Throw (approximately 54 by 72 inches), Twin (approximately 60 by 84 inches), Full (approximately 72 by 90 inches), and Queen (approximately 84 by 96 inches).
A memory bear is a stuffed bear handmade from a meaningful garment, often clothing from a loved one who has passed. They are popular as standalone keepsakes or as companion pieces to a memory quilt. Memory bears start at $40 each.
Yes. A deposit is required before work begins. The remaining balance is due when the finished quilt is ready for pickup or shipment. Your consultant will confirm the deposit amount during your free consultation.
Getting Your Materials to Me
Yes. I ship finished quilts anywhere in the United States via USPS or UPS with full insurance and tracking included.
Yes. The studio is open during business hours, and consultations, drop-off, and pickup are by appointment during business hours at CreateATL, 900 Murphy Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310, so I'm available to receive your garments. If you're not local, you can ship garments directly to the studio. I'll provide shipping instructions after the initial consultation.
How the Quilts Are Made

I use quality cotton batting and a variety of backing fabrics. You can choose a solid or patterned backing from available options, or we can discuss custom backing fabric. All materials are selected for durability and comfort.
