When a National Mail-Order Maker Might Be the Better Call
I would rather you get the right quilt than feel talked into mine. There are cases where a big national maker is a sensible choice, and it is worth naming them.
If you need a king-size t-shirt quilt, I do not build custom quilts that large, my sizes run Lap through Queen, so a maker that offers king may suit you better. If your turnaround window is very tight, a facility with a rush option can sometimes beat my four-to-eight-week range. And if being local is not a factor for you and you are comfortable laying the quilt out yourself, the mail-in model is straightforward and proven.
Where I am the better fit: you want to talk it through with the maker, you would rather not ship irreplaceable garments, you want the design decided before anything is cut, or your project is a memory or memorial quilt where care and pace matter more than a shipping label.
