Most woven garments work well, t-shirts, dress shirts, flannel, denim, jerseys, blouses, and similar fabrics. The garment is used as the pillow face, so the larger and more intact the graphic or fabric panel, the better. Delicate or very stretchy fabrics may need additional backing. How many garments do I need per pillow? Usually one garment is enough for a single pillow. The front of the garment typically provides the pillow face, with complementary fabric used for the back. If you have a specific look in mind, like using both front and back of the same shirt, we can talk through that at the consultation. Can I have multiple pillows made from the same set of clothing? Yes. If you have multiple garments, or if there is enough usable fabric from a single item, I can make several pillows from the same collection.
